Relegation-threatened Cowdenbeath secured a potentially vital win over Ayr United, courtesy of Sean McKenzie's own goal.
Declan McDaid forced two saves from Greg Fleming as Cowden pressed.
Substitute McKenzie had been on less than two minutes when he headed into his own net from McDaid's corner.
Ayr pressed for an equaliser and Robby McCrorie hit the bar late on. Cowdenbeath remain two points above the Scottish League One relegation zone.
